In Crypto Gold a single bitcoin wild is enough to turn its whole reel wild, and that rule paid for my session. Six by six, up to 46,656 ways

Every reel has six rows, but on reels two to five symbols often come as tall tiles covering up to four rows, so the number of ways printed above the board changes with each drop, from 576 up to 46,656. A way has to start on reel one and continue without a gap. Each paid symbol bursts and the column refills from above. The bitcoin wild is limited to the four middle reels, the same ones that carry the tall tiles.

On my bet a point was 0.60. A way of six miners would pay 48.00, four stakes, but over the session the laptop did more for me than the miner.

A thin profit

Thirty-eight of the 100 spins won, but twenty-one of those wins were smaller than the 12.00 stake. Of the 1,548.00 returned, 915.60 came from just five spins, from 272.40 down to 141.60. The low point, 99,838.60, came after spin 24, at the end of eleven losses in a row; spin 25 then paid 177.00. The balance closed at 100,348.00.

Free spins I did not reach

The bonus needs four Free Spins symbols and awards 10 free spins for them, with two more for each symbol past the fourth. Inside the bonus every winning cascade adds one to a multiplier that opens at x1. Thai River Wonders from 2020 raises its free spin multiplier the same way. The rules do not mention a reset between free spins, so it should keep climbing until the round ends. Retriggers are possible.

From silver frame to wild reel

The wilds are made during the cascade, in three steps:

1. A tall tile on reels two to five sometimes arrives in a silver frame. A win with it brings it back next round as some other symbol, picked at random, now framed in gold.
2. If the gold-framed tile wins as well, it comes back as a bitcoin wild.
3. Before the round is paid, every symbol on that wild's reel becomes a wild too.

The third step is what sets the game apart. Ways of the Qilin, released two months later, takes the same silver and gold frames and stops at the second step.

Spin 72: seven winning rounds

My best spin started slowly, with four small rounds worth 25.80 together. During them a framed tile on reel two went from silver to gold, won again and came back as a two-cell wild.

Then the rest of reel two followed, all six rows.

Laptops and cards from reel one now connected through a full column of wilds, and the round paid 129.00. In the next drop wilds appeared on reels three and four, both columns turned, and green bank cards were worth 108.00.

One more round of 9.60 and the spin stopped at 272.40, about 23 stakes.

Spins 98 and 82

Spin 98 was a shorter version of the same thing. After 3.00 from two rounds, wilds formed on reels two and three, the reels went wild, and the third round brought 172.80. A last 2.40 took the spin to 178.20.

Spin 82 needed no wild at all. Laptops stood on every reel, three of them on reel three and two on reel six, which made six ways of six laptops at 30 points each. That is 108.00 in the first round, and nothing followed.
