On my seventh spin of Galactic Gems the respins broke all twelve asteroids around the grid, and the bonus respins that followed climbed to x7. Spin 7 paid 2,295.60 on a 15.00 bet, and the other 99 spins never came close. PG Soft released this space slot in December 2020. Its base bet is 25, so my usual bet size and level came to 15.00 here. The session ended 1,460.40 up.

The grid is five by five, but every paid spin starts with twelve rocks sitting on fixed cells around the edge. Count the free cells per reel at the start: one, three, five, three, one. Multiplied together, they give 45 ways. With all the rocks gone it is 3,125. The paytable lists neither a wild nor a scatter.

A 15.00 bet divided by the base bet of 25 makes each point worth 0.60. The same base bet, grid and blocker rule first appeared in 2019 in The Great Icescape, with ice instead of rock.
How the rocks break
Any win earns a free respin, and before it starts, each winning symbol destroys one asteroid. The next respin then has more ways, so it is more likely to win again and break more rocks. One respin without a win ends the chain and the next paid spin brings all twelve back. If the last rock goes, the Bonus Respin feature starts with x1 and one extra life:
- every winning bonus respin raises the multiplier by one for the next;
- a respin without a win costs a life, and the multiplier stays where it is;
- winning symbols fill a bar of 15, and each full bar adds a life;
- the feature ends on a miss with no lives left.
Spin 7: all twelve gone
The spin itself paid 36.00 and knocked out some of the rocks. The respin, on a wider grid, was a Mega Win of 234.00, and its winners destroyed the rest.
The Bonus Respin screen came up with one life on the counter.
Ten bonus respins
My feature lasted ten respins. This is each of them with the multiplier it was played at:
- x1, no win; the only life is used.
- x1, 3.00.
- x2, 108.00; the bar of collected symbols fills and gives a new life.
- x3, 144.00.
- x4, 768.00.
- x5, 945.00; the bar fills again, two lives.
- x6, no win; one life left.
- x6, no win; no lives left.
- x6, 57.60 from a few kings.
- x7, no win, and the feature ends.
The 768.00 came from six purple gems on four reels: four ways of four, 192.00 before the x4.
The very next grid had kings on all five reels, nine ways of five for 189.00, which x5 turned into 945.00.
The feature paid 2,025.60, and with the 270.00 from the spin and its first respin, spin 7 came to 2,295.60, 153 stakes.
The other 99 spins
The other 99 spins returned 664.80 for 1,485.00. The bonus came twice more, on spins 79 and 81, and paid 159.00 and 120.00 for the whole sequence. The best ordinary result was 84.00 on spin 35.
Twenty-four spins won in all, twelve of them less than the stake, and from spin 50 to 60 nothing won at all. After its peak of 102,214.60 the balance slid slowly to 101,460.40.
