Ganesha Gold is one of PG Soft's older slots - the studio's game sheet is dated 28 February 2019 - and it plays like it: five reels, three rows, 243 ways and one feature that does all the heavy lifting. I ran the free demo below at a 45 stake and at the 270 maximum before writing this, and the short version is that the base game keeps you ticking over while the real money sits in a free spins round where every wild you see gets collected and pushes the multiplier up two steps at a time, all the way to x20.
Same game, real money
Cafe Casino runs the same Ganesha Gold with the same math and adds a welcome bonus for players from the United States:

The first spin worth showing came at a 45 stake. Three women in saris landed across reels one, two and three, and the wild on reel four turned the line into a four of a kind. The paytable lists 60 for four of that symbol, multiplied by bet size and bet level (0.30 x 5), which is exactly the 90.00 the game paid - twice the stake from one way.
The second one is the spin I would show anyone tempted by the Max Bet button. At the top stake of 270, a single wild on the middle reel completed two wins at once: jacks on reels one, two and four for a four of a kind, and kings on reels one and two for three of a kind. Each paid 8 times the 9.00 multiplier, so the screen celebrated WIN 144.00 - while the balance quietly dropped by 126.
That gap between a win and a profit is the base game in a nutshell. Lots of spins return something - PG Soft puts the overall hit rate at 41.3% - but most of those returns are smaller than the stake, and PG Soft's own Big Win banner only starts at 5x.
243 ways, and why the wild only lives in the middle
There are no paylines to learn. A win needs matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the leftmost one, and the number of ways is the count of matching symbols on each reel multiplied together - the rules screen uses one, three and two symbols for 1 x 3 x 2 = 6 ways, each paying the symbol value. Simultaneous wins on different symbols are added, which is how the max-bet spin above paid twice.
The wild substitutes for everything except the scatter and appears on reels two, three and four only. In practice that means a wild can never start a win and never finish a five of a kind on its own - reel one and reel five always have to bring the real symbol. It also means a maximum of nine wilds can sit on the screen at once, which matters a lot once the free spins start counting them. Phoenix Rises keeps its wild on the same three reels, but there the free spins multiplier grows with every spin instead.
What each symbol pays, in multiples of your bet
The paytable inside the game shows values that are multiplied by bet size and bet level. Since every spin costs 30 times that product, dividing by 30 tells you what a symbol is worth against your whole stake, which is the number I find more useful:
Read against a full stake, the table looks like this - and the honest takeaway is that even five of the top symbol on a single way is only 5x, so the base game needs several ways at once to move the needle:
| Symbol | 3 / 4 / 5 of a kind | 5 of a kind vs total bet |
|---|---|---|
| Woman in a sari | 30 / 60 / 150 | 5x |
| Diya lamps | 20 / 45 / 90 | 3x |
| Marigold garland | 15 / 30 / 60 | 2x |
| Turmeric bowl | 10 / 15 / 45 | 1.5x |
| A, K | 8 / 10 / 30 | 1x |
| Q, J | 5 / 8 / 15 | 0.5x |
Free spins: three wilds, plus two
Three, four or five Ganesha scatters anywhere start the feature with 12, 15 or 20 free spins, played at the stake that triggered them. Don't expect them often: PG Soft's math sheet gives the feature a hit rate of 0.75%, roughly one trigger every 133 spins, and the round then has to do a lot of work, because it carries 43.70 of the game's 96.08 RTP points on its own.
The rules are short and strict. Every win starts at x2. Every wild that lands is collected into a meter, and each time three are collected the multiplier rises by two and the meter empties. The ceiling is x20 - which takes nine steps, or 27 collected wilds, inside a round of 12 to 20 spins. And the scatter does not appear during free spins at all, so there is no retrigger: the spins you are given are the spins you get.
The illustration PG Soft uses in the paytable shows the meter at x18 with three wilds on the middle reels - one more full set from the cap. That is the scenario the whole game is built around: a 20-spin round where wilds keep landing on reels two to four and the late spins pay at double-digit multipliers.
The numbers PG Soft publishes
Everything in this table comes from PG Soft's own game sheet for Ganesha Gold and the rules inside the demo. If you are comparing it with other PG Soft RTP slots, note that the 96.08% sits a little under the 96.7-97% band of the studio's newer releases:
| Feature | Specification |
|---|---|
| Provider | PG Soft |
| Released | Early 2019 (game sheet dated 28 February 2019) |
| Reels / rows | 5 x 3 |
| Ways | 243, fixed (base bet 30) |
| RTP | 96.08% (main game 52.38%, free spins 43.70%) |
| Volatility | Medium |
| Hit rate | 41.30% overall |
| Free spins | 12 / 15 / 20 for 3 / 4 / 5 scatters, no retrigger |
| Multiplier | x2 at the start, +2 per 3 collected wilds, up to x20 |
| Max win | 4,963x (maximum exposure simulated over 1 billion spins) |
| Bet in the demo | 0.90 to 270 per spin |
Two numbers need a comment. The max win: the game sheet's 4,963x is the largest result PG Soft recorded in a billion simulated spins, while the studio's website lists a 100,000x figure that no simulation came near - treat the first as the realistic ceiling. And the big-win frequencies on the same sheet are a fair summary of the volatility: a Big Win (5x to 15x) about once every 76 spins, a Mega Win (15x to 50x) once in 784, and a Super Mega Win above 50x once in 13,925. PG Soft's sheet for Jungle Delight, published two months later, shows how differently a fruit game is tuned: there a Super Mega Win comes about once in 2,809 spins.
Bet size, bet level and the 30-coin base
The stake is built from three numbers that the Bet Options panel shows side by side: a bet size, a bet level from 1 to 10 and a fixed base bet of 30. Multiply them and you get the bet amount - 0.30 x 5 x 30 = 45.00 in the screenshot below.
In the demo the bet sizes run 0.03, 0.10, 0.30 and 0.90, which gives a range from 0.90 to 270 a spin. That range is set per casino and currency, though: PG Soft's default sheet starts at 0.30 and stops at 30 in euros, so the limits you see for real money depend on the operator. The free spins always replay the bet that triggered them, which is worth remembering before you nudge the level up mid-session.
History, and checking a round is genuine
The History button keeps a record of every round, and the rules close with two lines worth reading: a malfunction voids all pays and plays, and in any dispute the results shown in the game history are absolute and final.
That history is also what proves a real-money game is the real one. PG Soft's official verification in the casino lobby checks the Transaction ID of a round you played and confirms whether it came from a certified PG Soft build, which matters most for heavily copied titles such as Fortune Tiger. Copies of PG Soft games circulate on unlicensed sites, and the demo here is the original you can compare them against.

Verdict
Ganesha Gold is a clean, old-school PG Soft slot that hides nothing: a base game that pays often but small, and a free spins round where the wild meter decides everything. It will not match the studio's newer cascade games for spectacle, including its own 2020 successor Ganesha Fortune, and the 4,963x ceiling is modest by today's standards, but the rules are easy to read and the maths is published down to the hit rates. Play the demo until you have seen at least one free spins round build its multiplier - that round, not the base game, is the reason to play it for real.
