In the folk tale PG Soft tells for Destiny of Sun & Moon, a jealous sorcerer turns a married couple into the sun and the moon so they can never meet. The February 2022 slot puts them on either side of an observatory board: a sun globe on the left multiplies wins that run from left to right, a moon globe on the right multiplies wins that run the other way. Over 101 demo spins at 12.00 I finished 1,481.40 ahead, with 1,224.00 of that from a single round of free spins.
Same game, real money
Cafe Casino runs the same Destiny of Sun & Moon with the same math and adds a welcome bonus for players from the United States:
300% up to $2,000 + 150 FS 18+ · T&Cs apply · the demo stays free576 ways, counted in both directions
The six reels form a diamond: two symbols on the outer reels, three on reels two and five, four on the two middle reels. The product of those heights is a fixed 576, and the game checks the board from both ends, so a single spin can pay from reel one and from reel six. The four inner reels can also carry wilds.
I never changed the demo's opening stake of 12.00 (size 0.30, level 2), so every paytable point in this review is 0.60.
Sun and moon at the top
The celestial symbols lead and the cards follow closely. Every value counts per way, whichever direction it pays, and the last column sets a six-symbol way against the 20-point base bet.
| Symbol | 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 | Six on one way vs stake |
|---|---|---|
| Sun, moon | 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 | 1.5x |
| Armillary sphere, telescope | 10 / 12 / 18 / 20 | 1x |
| Sextant, pocket sundial, A | 6 / 10 / 12 / 15 | 0.75x |
| K, Q, J | 6 / 8 / 10 / 12 | 0.6x |
The values are unusually flat, so the sun and moon matter twice: as the best paying symbols and as the source of the multipliers.
Two globes, two multipliers
Both globes start every base-game spin at x1. Each sun symbol that lands adds 1 to the left globe, and each moon symbol adds 1 to the right one, before the wins are paid. Left-to-right wins use the sun's value, right-to-left wins the moon's, and if a round has wins in both directions, the two values are added together.
Spin 27 shows the sum at work. Suns and moons landed alongside three wilds, the globes read x4 and x2, and the round produced wins in both directions worth 43.20 before the multiplier.
Added together, x4 and x2 make x6, and 43.20 times 6 is 259.20, a Mega Win of over 21 stakes. Five other base-game spins with a lit globe paid between 77.40 and 109.20.
Free spins: both globes climb by 2
The scatter opens the feature from three upwards: 10 free spins, and two more for each scatter past the third. Both globes start the round at x2, each sun or moon now adds 2 instead of 1, and the values are kept for the rest of the feature instead of resetting.
The round came on spin 98, whose trigger spin had already paid 240.00. The globes grew steadily: x4 and x8 early in the round, x8 and x12 with six spins left. With four free spins left the sun stood at x12 and the moon at x24, and a round with wins both ways was paid at x36: 27.00 before the multiplier, 972.00 after it.
By the last free spin the globes showed x28 and x30. The ten free spins paid 1,224.00, 102 stakes, and with the trigger the whole spin was worth 1,464.00.
Multipliers that grow from the symbols themselves also drive Wings of Iguazu, where each blue macaw adds 2, but there one multiplier serves the whole board.

Two sides of one board
Destiny of Sun & Moon looks like a small game, with 576 ways and a flat paytable, and in the base game it mostly plays like one. The two globes change that whenever both directions win at once, and in the free spins, where they only grow, they turned an ordinary 27.00 round into 972.00. My session's profit came almost entirely from that one feature.
