A full screen of money bags, three grinning mice down the middle and WIN 90.00 on a 3.00 stake - that was the best moment of my Fortune Mouse session, and it came from the one trick this slot has. Fortune Mouse was PG Soft's first game of 2020, the Year of the Rat, and in Brazil it is simply the jogo do ratinho. The free demo below is the original build, and this page explains exactly how that respin trick decides what you get paid.
Same game, real money
Cafe Casino runs the same Fortune Mouse with the same math and adds a welcome bonus for players from the United States:
300% up to $2,000 + 150 FS 18+ · T&Cs apply · the demo stays freeThree reels, five lines and one promise
The loading screen says it all before the first spin: Featuring respins until win! Win 1000x with full screen wilds! Underneath sit the marks that matter for trust - licensed in Malta by the MGA, certified by Gaming Associates and BMM Testlabs.
The game itself is as small as slots get: three reels, three rows and five fixed lines - the three rows plus the two diagonals. A line pays when three matching symbols run from the leftmost reel to the right, only the highest win per line is paid, and wins on different lines are added together. The wild substitutes for every symbol.
The same rules screen holds the top prize: when wild symbols fill all nine positions, the game awards 1,000x the total bet. That is the only route to the maximum win, and it is a special award rather than the sum of five wild lines.
The Fortune Mouse feature, one stop at a time
On any spin, the mouse can drop three wilds onto the middle reel while the reels are still turning. From that moment the middle reel stays put and the first and third reels respin until there is a win. This is what it looks like when the feature lands - the banner reads Respin Until Win and the balance waits.
Not every stop pays, and the feature makes that easy to see. With the middle reel all wild, each of the five lines simply pairs one position on reel one with one position on reel three, so a win needs the same symbol on both ends of a line. In the stop below the left reel showed three golden mouse emblems and the right reel three red envelopes - no line matched, nothing paid, and both side reels spun again.
My winning stop came a few respins later: money bags filled reels one and three, so every one of the five lines lined up bag, wild, bag. A money bag line is worth 30 times the bet size and bet level, which at a 3.00 stake is 30 x 0.60 = 18.00 per line, and five lines make 90.00 - thirty times the stake. The balance moved from 99,994.00 to 100,084.00, and the celebration counter climbs through a Big Win banner before settling on Mega Win, so do not read the numbers mid-count.
A guaranteed win is not a guaranteed profit
"Respins until win" sounds like free money, so here is the honest arithmetic. Because each line is a pair of side-reel positions, the feature pays anything from one weak line to a full screen. The table shows what a matching symbol is worth against your total stake, for one line and for all five:
| Symbol on reels 1 and 3 | One line | All five lines |
|---|---|---|
| Golden mouse emblem | 20x | 100x |
| Red envelopes | 10x | 50x |
| Money bag | 6x | 30x |
| Firecrackers | 3x | 15x |
| Tangerine | 1x | 5x |
| Peanuts | 0.6x | 3x |
| Wilds on all nine positions | - | 1,000x |
So the feature can end on a single line of peanuts paying 0.6x - less than the spin cost. It is a win in the game's language and a small loss in yours. The feature also arrives rarely: in PG Soft's math figures, as listed by SlotCatalog, it triggers on about 1.02% of spins, roughly once every 98, and contributes 23.32 of the game's 96.96 RTP points. The other 73.64 come from ordinary line wins.
What each symbol pays
The paytable inside the game lists a single value per symbol because every win is three of a kind on a line. Values are multiplied by bet size and bet level, and the wild doubles as the top symbol:
Three wilds pay 300, the golden mouse emblem 100, red envelopes 50, the money bag 30, firecrackers 15, the tangerine 5 and peanuts 3. Since a spin costs five times bet size and level, divide by five to get the multiple of your stake - which is how the table above was built. The rules screen spells out the feature in two lines, and they are worth reading word for word:
Nothing in those rules mentions a time of day, a streak or a pattern, and that is the point to carry into any session.
Fortune Mouse in numbers
The RTP and the 1,000x cap come from PG Soft; the split and the hit rates from PG Soft's math as listed by SlotCatalog; the rest from the rules inside the demo. To compare it with other games, every PG Soft slot reviewed so far has its own demo on this site. The figures:
| Feature | Specification |
|---|---|
| Provider | PG Soft |
| Released | January 2020 (PG Soft's first game of 2020) |
| Reels / rows | 3 x 3 |
| Lines | 5 fixed (3 rows, 2 diagonals) |
| RTP | 96.96% (main game 73.64%, feature 23.32%) |
| Volatility | Medium |
| Hit rate | 21.84% |
| Fortune Mouse feature | 3 wilds on the middle reel, reels 1 and 3 respin until a win; about 1 in 98 spins |
| Max win | 1,000x the total bet (wilds on all nine positions) |
| Bet in the demo | 0.15 to 45 per spin |
Bet: 0.15 to 45 in the demo
The stake is built from a bet size between 0.03 and 0.90, a bet level from 1 to 10 and the five fixed lines, so the demo runs from 0.15 to 45 a spin - my 3.00 stake was bet size times level of 0.60, times five lines. Real-money limits depend on the casino and currency.
Bet sizes, levels and the five fixed lines work the same way in Fortune Tiger, PG Soft's 2022 follow-up on the same 3x3 board, so the two demos cost exactly the same per spin.

Verdict
Fortune Mouse is the smallest game in PG Soft's Fortune series and the easiest to read: five lines, one feature, one fixed top prize. A year later Fortune Ox kept the respin idea on a bigger 3-4-3 board with ten lines. The respin trick is genuinely satisfying when a full screen lands, but it is a guaranteed win rather than a guaranteed profit, and it arrives roughly once in a hundred spins. Play the demo until you have seen the feature a few times, including a weak one - then you will know exactly what the mouse is promising.
