Under each reel of Gemstones Gold runs a mine cart, and three of them carry a multiplier hidden behind three wooden crates. A crate breaks every time a winning symbol sits in the reel above, so a multiplier only pays if its reel keeps winning for three cascade rounds. This gem mine opened in February 2024. Across my 100 demo spins at 12.00 only two carts opened, a x5 and a x2, the free spins never came, and the balance ended 490.20 lower.
Same game, real money
Cafe Casino runs the same Gemstones Gold with the same math and adds a welcome bonus for players from the United States:
300% up to $2,000 + 150 FS 18+ · T&Cs apply · the demo stays freeEight of a kind, anywhere
Thirty cells, six across and five down, make up the grid. Position does not matter: eight or more copies of one symbol anywhere on it make a win, paid by how many there are. Winners explode, the rest fall, and new gems drop in. There is no wild; the scatter is a miner with a lamp on his helmet.
| Symbol | 8-9 | 10-11 | 12-14 | 15+ |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gold nugget | 50 | 80 | 100 | 200 |
| Ruby, amethyst | 20 | 30 | 40 | 100 |
| Sapphire, emerald, copper ore | 10 | 15 | 20 | 50 |
| Spade, heart, club, diamond | 5 | 8 | 10 | 20 |
Eight gold nuggets, at 0.60 per point on my 12.00 bet, pay 30.00 and eight card suits 3.00. Even fifteen nuggets come to 120.00, ten stakes, so a cart or a very long cascade is needed for more.
Three crates per cart
A cart can only open within the spin that placed it:
- At the start of every spin, three multipliers between x2 and x500 are placed under random reels, each behind three crates.
- In every winning round, each cart with a winning symbol above it loses one crate.
- A cart with all three crates gone is revealed.
- When the spin ends, the revealed multipliers are added together and applied to everything the spin won.
A multiplier that keeps one crate pays nothing, however large it is. That makes long cascades the only route to them: a reel has to take part in three winning rounds of the same spin. Forge of Wealth needs only two winning rounds on a cell, with four fixed anvil cells that light up and then pay x2.
Spin 65: a x5 after three rounds
The cart under reel five held a x5. The first round paid 6.00 in sapphires, some of them in that reel, and a crate broke.
Two more rounds, rubies for 12.00 and clubs for 3.00, broke the other two. The cascade ended at 21.00, and the revealed x5 made it 105.00, almost nine stakes and the best result of my session.
On spin 50 an x2 cart under reel three opened the same way after a cascade worth 39.60, which was paid as 79.20.
What the bonus would add
Three miners give 10 free spins and every miner past the third adds two. In the round six carts get multipliers instead of three, each behind only two crates, and the total of revealed multipliers carries over: it is added to the next winning free spin's total instead of starting from zero. Two miners during the round give five more spins. Three never landed together for me.
Thirty-three wins, mostly small
Of 1,200.00 staked, 709.80 returned; the balance closed on 99,509.80. The two multiplied spins brought 184.20. Four spins without an opened cart paid between 42.00 and 60.00. Ten wins were 6.00 or less, and from spin 37 to 47 the game paid only once, 3.00.
