Two glass orbs hang beside the reels of Hansel & Gretel, the first Grimms' Bounty slot, released by PG Soft in August 2025. The red one on the left counts free respins and the blue one on the right holds the multiplier, and every winning card or picture symbol feeds one of them. In my demo session at 6.00 a single paid spin ran through a chain of respins worth 258.00, while the rest of the session lost steadily.
Same game, real money
Cafe Casino runs the same Grimms' Bounty: Hansel & Gretel with the same math and adds a welcome bonus for players from the United States:

The board has three reels of five rows and pays 125 fixed ways. The wild is a bubbling cauldron, and the scatter, a treasure chest, starts the free spins with three or more. Winning symbols burst and the ones above drop into the gaps, so one spin can pay several rounds. The base bet is 10, so at the demo's 6.00 a paytable point is worth 0.60.
| Symbol | 3 on a way | At 6.00 |
|---|---|---|
| Witch, cauldron wild | 20 | 12.00 |
| Hansel, Gretel | 15 | 9.00 |
| Cupcake, bread | 10 | 6.00 |
| A | 5 | 3.00 |
| K, Q | 3 | 1.80 |
| J, 10 | 1 | 0.60 |
Two collections
- Respins. Winning card symbols (A, K, Q, J, 10) go to the red orb. Every five of them add one respin. When a spin fails to win and the orb holds at least one respin, the reels spin again for free.
- Multiplier. Winning picture symbols (the witch, the two children, cupcake and bread) go to the blue orb. Every five add x1, and every win is paid at the current value.
Both orbs reset at the start of each paid spin, so the collections only matter within one spin and its respins.
The 258.00 chain
It began with a small win of 1.20, two ways of the lowest cards. The cards went into the red orb, a respin followed, and a few rounds later the board landed full of witches with a cauldron among them.
That round was worth 97.80, eight ways of witches and one of kings. The witches took the blue orb from x1 to x2 before the payout, so the respin paid 195.60.
The collections kept the chain going for about a dozen respins after that, each adding a few coins, until the red orb was empty. The whole spin paid 258.00, 43 stakes.
Eight spins from the chests
Three or more chests start 8 free spins. The red orb resets to zero and the blue one to x2 for the round. The collections speed up: four card symbols give a respin and four picture symbols add x2 to the multiplier. A +1 symbol that lands adds one free spin at the end of that spin. The chests never came in threes for me, so this is from the paytable.
What the session looked like
My recording counted every respin as a separate spin, so the real numbers come from the balance. In 65 paid spins I staked 390.00 and got back 340.80, ending on 99,950.80. Only 14 paid spins won anything. The 258.00 chain and a 28.80 chain on the very first spin made 286.80; the other twelve wins added 54.00. Paid spins 2 to 25 produced only two small wins, 1.20 and 3.60.
