Knockout Riches Demo

The final free spin of my first Knockout Riches bonus filled the screen with the symbol 10: one on reel one, 12, 15 and 9 stacked on the middle reels, one on reel five. That is 1,620 ways of the cheapest symbol in the game, and with my bet at 12.00 it paid 4,860.00. The bonus came on my eighth spin, the round finished at 4,917.00, and the session ended more than 5,000 up. PG Soft released this boxing slot in April 2025, and the whole design leads to that last moment, when three counters above the reels decide how tall the stacks will be.

A ring of five reels

The outer reels hold one to three symbols and the three middle reels four or more, up to twenty, so the ways count runs from 1 to 8,000. In a normal spin the board looks like a small ways slot. Ways count from the left edge; after a payout the winners burst and new symbols fill in. The golden bell wild lands only on reels two, three and four and covers every symbol except the gold-star scatter.

The bet was 12.00 throughout: size 0.30 at level 2 with a base of 20. A paytable point was therefore worth 0.60.

Counters that become stacks

  1. Any base spin that reaches a third cascade round starts the Stacking Symbols Feature, and the three counters above reels two to four are set to 1.
  2. From round four on, every winning symbol on one of those reels adds 1 to that reel's counter. A counter cannot pass 20.
  3. When the spin ends, the game picks one symbol at random. Reels one and five become a single copy of it, and the middle reels are filled with stacks as tall as their counters.
  4. The stacks are paid as ordinary ways: counter × counter × counter ways of the chosen symbol.

Spin 2 of my session was a short example. The counters stopped at 5, 3 and 2, and the game picked the pink helmet.

Knockout Riches counters 5 3 2

5 × 3 × 2 = 30 ways of five helmets. Five helmets pay 20 points, 12.00 at my stake, so the stacks brought 360.00, and with 22.80 from the cascade the spin paid 382.80.

Knockout Riches stacked helmets 382.80

The feature ran three more times in the base game: 182.40 on spin 19 (helmets, 12 ways), 282.60 on spin 21 (jacks, 72 ways) and 112.80 on spin 54 (queens, 27 ways).

Bonus rounds: counters for 15 spins

Only two scatters are needed for 5 free spins, and each further scatter adds five. In the feature the counters start at 1 and keep growing across all free spins, and the stacks are built only once, at the end of the last spin.

Knockout Riches four scatters trigger free spins

Spin 8 showed four scatters, which meant 15 free spins. The free spins themselves paid only 57.00, but every winning symbol on the middle reels pushed a counter up, and on the last spin they read 12, 15 and 9.

Knockout Riches 1,620 ways counters

The random pick landed on the 10, which pays 5 points for five of a kind, 3.00 at my bet. 1,620 ways × 3.00 = 4,860.00, and with the free spins' own 57.00 the round came to 4,917.00, 409.75 times the stake.

Knockout Riches stacked tens paying 4,860.00

Five spins later four scatters came again. This time the counters only reached 5, 6 and 6, 180 ways; the game chose kings, worth the same 3.00 per way, and the stacks paid 540.00. With 12.60 from the free spins, spin 13 was worth 552.60.

The paytable

Symbol3 / 4 / 5 per wayFive, per way, at 12.00
Boxer20 / 35 / 5030.00
Punching bag, helmet10 / 15 / 2012.00
Gloves, mouthguard5 / 8 / 106.00
A, K, Q, J, 102 / 3 / 53.00

The pick at the end is random, and the table shows what that means. The same 1,620 ways would have paid 9,720.00 with gloves and 48,600.00 with the boxer. Both of my bonus rounds drew a card rank, the cheapest outcome.

Knockout Riches questions

How does the Stacking Symbols Feature work?
It starts on any spin that reaches a third cascade round. Counters above reels two to four then grow with every winning symbol on those reels, and at the end of the spin those reels are filled with stacks of one random symbol as tall as the counters.
How many ways can Knockout Riches reach?
Up to 8,000, when all three counters reach 20. My best was 12, 15 and 9, which made 1,620 ways.
What does it take to reach the bonus round?
A pair of gold stars is already a bonus of 5 spins; every further star is worth five, which is how four of them came to 15.
Is the stacked symbol chosen at random?
Yes. Any symbol except the wild and the scatter can be picked, so the same counters can pay ten times more with the boxer than with a card rank.
What was the biggest win in the demo test?
4,917.00 from a 15-spin bonus round, 409.75 times the 12.00 stake.

Round-by-round result

The session ended on 105,394.60: 6,594.60 back on 1,200.00. Thirty-seven spins paid. The two bonus rounds made 5,469.60 and the four base-game stacking spins 960.60; the remaining 31 wins added just 164.40. Without spin 8 the session would still have finished 477.60 ahead, but take away the stacks as well and the base game paid back very little.
