The outer reels hold three symbols and the four middle reels four each, which multiplies out to 2,304 ways that never change. Wins pay from reel one rightwards and cascade, and a golden dial below the board shows the multiplier, x1 at the start of a spin.
The opening screen shows both special symbols: two Jane wilds with their "3" counters and two pharaoh-skull scatters in the middle.
Jane wilds: three uses and +1 each
Jane lands on reels two to five and replaces everything except the scatter. Each one starts with a value of 3. When she takes part in a win, the value drops by one and she stays on the reel for the next cascade; at 1, her next win is her last. On top of that, every Jane that appears adds 1 to the multiplier, so two of them make x3 and three make x4.
Spin 91 is the clearest example. Three Janes landed during the spin, the dial moved to x4, and the final round alone paid 96.00. The spin finished at 168.00.
My best result, spin 8, came at x3: two Janes had landed during the cascade, and the counter stopped at 252.00, 21 stakes, announced as a Mega Win.
Three more spins reached x3: 158.40 on spin 29, 73.80 on spin 36 and 70.20 on spin 16. Every win above six stakes in my session had at least two Janes on the board.

The values are close together, so the multiplier from the Janes matters more than which symbol completes a way.

Three pharaoh-skull scatters start 10 free spins, and every extra one adds 2. In the feature, unused Janes are not cleared between free spins: each waits on her reel until she joins a win or the round is over, so the next free spins can start with Janes already in place. Three scatters never landed together in my session, so this is the rule as written.
A counter on the wild is something PG Soft uses in several games; Dreams of Macau gives its wilds one too, but there they grow out of framed symbols instead of landing ready-made.

Count the Janes
Raider Jane's Crypt of Fortune is easy to read: each Jane that lands during a spin is one more step on the dial, and a spin without her rarely pays more than a few coins. My session ended 288.60 ahead on the strength of five spins with two or three Janes. The free spins, where she can stay for the whole round, are where the game's 50,000x is meant to come from.
