Totem Wonders has no free spins, no cascades and no scatters. What it has is three carved totem poles under the northern lights and two narrow reels at the sides of the board that spin before every result: each lands on x1, x2, x3, x5 or the word Wild. PG Soft released it in September 2022 with a story about a tribe whose eagle, wolf and bear spirits bless whoever stands between the poles when five planets align. A hundred spins of the demo at 6.00 left me 312.60 ahead, and two spins where the side reels lined up made most of that.

Three poles, ten lines
The outer reels hold three totem heads each and the middle one four, crossed by 10 fixed lines that pay from the left. The wild, a blue block marked WILD, stands in for every symbol and pays the most itself, 100 points for a line of three.
My spins cost the 6.00 the demo opens with (size 0.30, level 2, ten lines), so a point in the table below is worth 0.60.
| Symbol | Three on a line | One line vs stake |
|---|---|---|
| Wild | 100 | 10x |
| Eagle totem | 20 | 2x |
| Pink totem | 15 | 1.5x |
| Purple totem | 10 | 1x |
| Brown totem | 5 | 0.5x |
| Green totem | 3 | 0.3x |
| Blue totem | 2 | 0.2x |
The two multiplier reels
Before the totems settle, the side reels spin. A number on either side multiplies all wins of the spin, and two numbers multiply each other: x3 on the left and x5 on the right make x15. A Wild on the left side turns every symbol on reel one into a wild; a Wild on the right does the same to reel three.
When both sides show Wild, the Double Wild Feature starts: reels one and three are completely wild, and both side reels spin again to land a number. Any symbol filling the middle reel then completes all ten lines.
Spin 40: two wild poles and x5
That is what happened on the 40th spin. Both outer poles turned wild, the respin put x5 on the board, and the middle pole held four brown totems. Brown pays 5 points, ten lines made 50 points, 30.00, and x5 raised it to 150.00, twenty-five stakes.
Brown is one of the cheapest symbols. The same board with eagles in the middle would have been 200 points before the multiplier.
Spin 66: x3 times x5
The best result needed no wild reels. The left side stopped on x3 and the right on x5, and two lines of eagles connected through a wild in the middle pole: 40 points, 24.00 before the multiplier.
Fifteen times 24.00 is 360.00, sixty stakes, which the game counted up through Big and Mega Win to a Super Mega Win.
The highest possible multiplier is x25, x5 on both sides, and wild lines are worth ten stakes each, which explains the 2,500x maximum: ten lines of wilds are 100 stakes, times 25.
How the other 98 spins went
Without a useful side reel the game pays small amounts: a line of blue or green totems returns a fifth or less of the stake. Most of my winning spins were worth between 1.20 and 18.00, and the session's balance moved from 100,000.00 to 100,312.60, with the two spins above contributing 510.00 of the 912.60 returned. Fortune Ox uses the same 3-4-3 shape, but its multiplier is a single x10 for a full screen of one symbol.

Small game, sharp edges
Totem Wonders is about as simple as PG Soft gets: ten lines, seven symbols and two side reels. That simplicity is also its swing. Most spins pay little or nothing, and the result of a session depends on a handful of spins where the side reels line up, as x15 and a double wild did in mine. The 2,500x cap is low for the studio, yet it is still about forty times my best spin of the session.
