Wild Ape #3258 is named after a real NFT. PG Soft says the game was inspired by its purchase of Bored Ape #3258 from the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection, the hip-hop ape in the striped shirt and black cap who now sits, chained and padlocked, in the middle of a 6x6 cascade slot. Released in March 2024, the game is built around waking him up: two winning rounds in a row break the padlocks, and from then on he is a big wild whose multiplier grows by two with every further win. I played the demo below at 54.00 a spin and caught one spin from x2 all the way to x10.

Cafe Casino runs the same Wild Ape #3258 with the same math and adds a welcome bonus for players from the United States:

The board has six reels of six rows, and symbols on the reels can be up to three spaces tall, counting as one. In the middle, across reels three and four, sits the Wild Bored Ape, two spaces wide and two tall. At the start of every base game spin he is switched off and locked with two padlocks.
While he is locked he does not count at all. The opening screen reads 2304 WAYS, and that is exactly the product of the other symbols: 3, 4, 4, 4, 4 and 3 on the six reels, with the ape's square left out. The ordinary ape wild lands only on reels two to five and substitutes for everything except the scatter.
Two wins break the padlocks
The rules are simple. A win in the first round of a spin opens the first padlock, a win in the second round opens the second, and in the third round the Wild Bored Ape becomes active with a x2 multiplier. Every win after that adds 2 to it: x4, x6, x8 and so on, for as long as the cascade keeps going.
My stake was 0.90 x 3 x 20 = 54.00, so each paytable point was worth 0.90 x 3 = 2.70. In the spin below, a single way of three bananas paid 5 points, 13.50, and the first padlock came off; the ape is still hanging on by one chain.
Most spins stop here. Two wins in a row are needed before the ape does anything, so the feature is the reward for a cascade that already works.
One spin from x2 to x10: 699.30
The best spin of my session went the whole way. By the time the multiplier reached x4, the first three rounds had already paid 180.90. The plaque in the middle shows each round's base value; the counter below adds it after the multiplier.
The x4 round is worth counting in full. The big ape stands on reels three and four at once, and two ordinary wilds sit on reels two and four:
| Symbol | Ways, reel by reel | Ways | Pay | Points |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| K, six of a kind | 2 x 1 x 1 x 2 x 1 x 1 | 4 | 4 | 16 |
| J, four of a kind | 1 x 1 x 3 x 2 | 6 | 2 | 12 |
| Round base value | 28 | |||
28 points are 75.60, the number on the plaque, and at x4 the round paid 302.40. The cascade kept going, and each round after that was smaller but multiplied harder:
| Multiplier | Winning symbols | Points | Base | Paid | Total so far |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rounds 1 to 3 | 180.90 | ||||
| x4 | K and J | 28 | 75.60 | 302.40 | 483.30 |
| x6 | A, five of a kind on 2 ways | 6 | 16.20 | 97.20 | 580.50 |
| x8 | 10, five of a kind on 1 way | 3 | 8.10 | 64.80 | 645.30 |
| x10 | 10, four of a kind on 1 way | 2 | 5.40 | 54.00 | 699.30 |
Every total on the counter matches the arithmetic, from 180.90 through 483.30, 580.50 and 645.30 to the final 699.30. The last three rounds paid only 11 points between them, yet with the multiplier they added 216.00. That is the whole idea of the game: once the ape is awake, even jacks and tens are worth having.
The spin ended as a Big Win of 699.30, almost 13 times the stake. A wild with a multiplier is also the hero of Super Wildrix, but there each one brings a fixed x2 in the base game, while here the multiplier is earned one winning round at a time.
Gold frames that turn wild
On any spin some symbols on reels two to five, one to three spaces tall, can land with a gold frame. A gold-framed symbol that takes part in a win becomes a wild in the next round.
There is a single step from frame to wild, so new wilds turn up often and help a cascade last long enough to wake the ape; in the x4 round above, the K on reel five already wears a gold frame. Mighty Mania turns winning symbols into wilds too, but gives each one a counter that limits it to two more wins.
Free spins: the ape starts awake
Four scatters anywhere award 10 free spins, and every scatter beyond four adds two more. The free spins can be retriggered and use the stake that triggered them.
The difference from the base game is that there are no padlocks. At the start of each free spin the Wild Bored Ape is already active at x2, and every win in the following rounds adds 2. The rules tie the x2 to the start of the free spin, so each new free spin begins again at x2. The game stops at 10,000x the stake: when a spin or the free spins reach it, the round ends.
Paytable per way
Paytable values are multiplied by bet size and bet level, and a spin costs 20 times that product, so dividing by 20 gives one way against the stake.
The crown is the standout at 7.5x the stake for six on a single way; everything below it is modest, which is why the multiplier matters so much:
| Symbol | 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 of a kind | 6 of a kind vs stake, per way |
|---|---|---|
| Crown | 40 / 50 / 80 / 150 | 7.5x |
| Gold watch | 20 / 25 / 40 / 50 | 2.5x |
| Potion bottle | 10 / 15 / 20 / 30 | 1.5x |
| Whisky glass | 8 / 10 / 15 / 20 | 1x |
| Pizza, banana | 5 / 8 / 10 / 15 | 0.75x |
| A, K, Q, J, 10 | 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 | 0.2x |
Wild Ape #3258 by the numbers
PG Soft's game page lists a 96.73% RTP and a 10,000x maximum win and dates the game to March 2024. The studio does not publish a volatility rating, so I leave it out. The range of 256 to 32,400 ways comes from the rules; the top figure needs the ape awake, because a locked ape adds nothing to the count. Like the other PG Soft demo slots here, it runs in the browser without an account:
| Feature | Specification |
|---|---|
| Provider | PG Soft |
| Released | March 2024 |
| Board | 6 x 6, symbols up to 3 spaces tall, cascades |
| Ways | 256 to 32,400 (base bet 20) |
| Wild Bored Ape | 2x2 on reels 3-4; active after two winning rounds, x2 then +2 per win |
| Gold frames | Winning gold-framed symbols become wilds |
| Free spins | 10 for 4 scatters, +2 per extra; ape active from the start; retrigger possible |
| RTP | 96.73% |
| Max win | 10,000x; the spin ends when it is reached |
| Bet in the demo | 0.60 to 180 per spin |
Bet: 0.60 to 180 in the demo
The demo opens at 12.00. The Bet Options panel multiplies a bet size, a bet level from 1 to 10 and the base bet of 20; my session ran at 0.90 x 3 x 20 = 54.00.
Bet sizes run from 0.03 to 0.90, so a spin costs from 0.60 (0.03 x 1 x 20) to 180.00 (0.90 x 10 x 20). Real-money limits depend on the casino and the currency.

Verdict
Wild Ape #3258 is a cascade slot with a very clear goal: win twice in a row and the ape wakes up. After that every round counts double, then quadruple and more, and even a run of small wins can add up, as my spin from 180.90 to 699.30 showed. In free spins the ape skips the padlocks entirely. Play the demo and watch the chains; the spins where both padlocks break are the ones this game is built for.
