Buffalo Win is PG Soft's Infinity Reels slot from October 2021. The board starts with only three reels of four rows, and every reel that improves a win adds another one on the right, together with +1 on the multiplier. There are no paylines and no ways: each symbol in a winning chain pays on its own. PG Soft's story has the buffalo king leading the eagles, horses and the other animals of the Rongshan prairie against the snakes, and the whole cast is on the reels except the snakes. I played the demo below at 72.00 a spin; the best spin paid exactly four times the stake.
Same game, real money
Cafe Casino runs the same Buffalo Win with the same math and adds a welcome bonus for players from the United States:
300% up to $2,000 + 150 FS 18+ · T&Cs apply · the demo stays freeThree reels that keep growing
Every spin begins on the same small board: three reels, four rows and a x1 under the reels. Many spaces are taken by wheat tiles, which pay nothing and only break chains. A win needs the same symbol on reels one, two and three; as soon as that happens, a fourth reel is added to the right and spun.
If the new reel extends any winning chain, another reel is added, and so on; the rules set no limit. The board only stops growing when the newest reel adds nothing. One extra rule helps: if the last reel improves no win but shows a Free Spins symbol, a reel is added anyway. The buffalo is the wild; it lands on every reel except the first and stands in for everything apart from the Free Spins symbol.
Every new reel adds +1 to the multiplier
The multiplier under the board starts each base game spin at x1 and goes up by 1 for every reel added. Nothing is paid while the board is still growing: the game waits until no reel is added, totals the wins and multiplies them once.
So the multiplier is simply the number of reels minus two: four reels mean x2, five reels x3, eight reels x6, as in the rules example above. A multiplier that climbs as the spin goes on also drives Wild Ape #3258, but there it rides on a big wild and needs another winning cascade, while here it needs one more reel.
One spin, five reels: 129.60
My stake was 0.90 x 8 x 10 = 72.00, so each paytable point was worth 0.90 x 8 = 7.20. The spin below opened with a 9 on reel one, two 9s on reel two and the buffalo on reel three. That was a win, so reel four arrived and the multiplier moved to x2; the plaque on the right counts the chain, 9 and 4.
Reel four brought two more 9s, so the chain grew to six symbols and reel five was added at x3. The board scrolled left to make room; the first reel is now cut off at the edge. Reel five showed two cougars, a wheat tile and a wolf, no 9 and no wild, so the spin ended there.
The payout follows directly: six symbols at 1 point each are 6 points, 43.20, and x3 makes 129.60. The reel that ended the spin still raised the multiplier, because the rule counts every reel added, not only the ones that win.
Each symbol pays on its own
The paytable gives one value per symbol rather than a price for three, four or five of a kind. A win is paid as the number of symbols in the chain, wilds included, times that value. These are the four wins of my session, all checked against the counter:
| Symbol | Symbols per reel | Count | Points | Base | Multiplier | Win |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 9 (pays 1) | 1 + 2 + wild + 2 | 6 | 6 | 43.20 | x3 | 129.60 |
| 10 (pays 1) | 3 + 3 + wild | 7 | 7 | 50.40 | x2 | 100.80 |
| A (pays 2) | 2 + 4 + 2 wilds and an A | 9 | 18 | 129.60 | x2 | 259.20 |
| Q (pays 2) | 5 + wild + 4 | 10 | 20 | 144.00 | x2 | 288.00 |
The aces show why the symbol count matters more than the reel count. Only four reels were in play, yet reel two held four aces and reel three two buffalo wilds and another ace, so nine symbols paid at x2. Reel two had six rows instead of four, which is the work of the stacked symbols described below.
The best spin, 288.00, came from queens: five on a six-row reel one, the buffalo on reel two and four more on reel three. Ten symbols at 2 points, 144.00, doubled. Reel four had a cougar, two wolves and a wheat tile, so the board never reached x3.
Stacked symbols that split
Some symbols, never the wild, land two to four spaces tall. When one of them takes part in a win, it breaks into a random number of normal symbols, and the reel grows to fit them.
A symbol two spaces tall becomes 3 or 4 symbols, three spaces tall becomes 4 to 6, and four spaces tall becomes 5 to 8. Since every symbol pays separately, the split adds to the count straight away. Tall symbols that cover two to four spaces also fill the board of Ways of the Qilin, but there a tall symbol still counts as one; here it turns into several.
Free spins: the multiplier carries on
Three Free Spins symbols anywhere award 10 free spins, and each extra one adds 2. The feature can be retriggered and is played at the bet that triggered it.
Two things change in free spins. Stacked symbols that split turn into wilds, not into copies of themselves. And the multiplier is set to x1 at the start of the feature, not at the start of each spin: the rules for the base game reset it every spin, the free spins rules only once. As worded, every reel added during the feature keeps raising the same multiplier, so the free spins are where the big wins are meant to come from.
Paytable per symbol
Each value is multiplied by bet size and bet level, and a spin costs 10 times that product, so dividing by 10 gives the value of one symbol against the stake.
The cougar is the top symbol, and even it pays half the stake per symbol, so a win only gets big when a long chain meets a high multiplier:
| Symbol | Pay per symbol | Per symbol vs stake |
|---|---|---|
| Cougar | 5 | 0.5x |
| Wolf | 4 | 0.4x |
| Horse, eagle | 3 | 0.3x |
| A, K, Q | 2 | 0.2x |
| J, 10, 9 | 1 | 0.1x |
| Buffalo (wild) | Counts as the chain's symbol | Same as the chain |
Buffalo Win by the numbers
PG Soft's game page lists a 96.71% RTP and a 25,000x maximum win and dates the game to October 2021. The studio does not publish a volatility rating, so I leave it out. Like the other PG Soft demo slots here, it runs in the browser without an account:
| Feature | Specification |
|---|---|
| Provider | PG Soft |
| Released | October 2021 |
| Board | Starts at 3 reels x 4 rows; Infinity Reels add reels to the right |
| Wins | Same symbol from reel 1 to at least reel 3; every symbol in the chain pays |
| Wild | Buffalo, reels 2 and up |
| Multiplier | x1, +1 per added reel; base game resets each spin |
| Stacked symbols | 2 to 4 spaces tall; split into 3 to 8 symbols when they win |
| Free spins | 10 for 3 Free Spins symbols, +2 per extra; split symbols become wilds; retrigger possible |
| RTP | 96.71% |
| Max win | 25,000x |
| Bet in the demo | 0.30 to 90 per spin |
Bet: 0.30 to 90 in the demo
The demo opens at 6.00. The base bet is fixed at 10, so the Bet Options panel only combines a bet size with a bet level from 1 to 10; my session ran at 0.90 x 8 x 10 = 72.00.
There are only four bet sizes, 0.03, 0.10, 0.30 and 0.90, so a spin costs from 0.30 (0.03 x 1 x 10) to 90.00 (0.90 x 10 x 10). Real-money limits depend on the casino and the currency.

Verdict
Buffalo Win is built on one idea and counts it honestly: keep the chain alive and the board, the symbol count and the multiplier all grow together. Small symbols pay little, a tenth of the stake for a 9, so most wins come from long chains rather than rare icons, and stacked symbols that split are what make them long. In my session four reels were the usual limit and 4x the stake the best result; the large numbers are meant for the free spins, where the multiplier is not reset between spins. Play the demo and watch the right edge of the board: every new reel is another +1.
