Secrets of Cleopatra has no fixed number of reels. Every spin starts with three, and as long as the reel on the right improves a win, another one is added after it, each new reel raising the multiplier by one. This Egyptian take on the Infinity Reels format came out in October 2020, with two black cat statues guarding the multiplier box and Cleopatra herself as the top symbol. Only 13 of my 100 demo spins at 6.00 paid, counting the one that opened the free spins, yet one stretched to eleven reels and paid 432.00.
Same game, real money
Cafe Casino runs the same Secrets of Cleopatra with the same math and adds a welcome bonus for players from the United States:
300% up to $2,000 + 150 FS 18+ · T&Cs apply · the demo stays freeNumbers and the session
The demo starts at 6.00 a spin and I kept it, for 600.00 staked over 100 spins. The balance ended at 100,572.40, so 1,172.40 came back, more than a third of it from a single spin that grew to eleven reels. The studio puts the RTP at 96.74% and the top win at 100,000x. Three reels to start, then as many as it takes
The board opens as three reels of four rows. A win needs at least five matching symbols connected from the leftmost reel, and every symbol in the group is paid at its paytable value, so a bigger group pays more without any ways or lines to count. A counter in the top corner shows which symbol is being collected and how many are in the group.
If the rightmost reel adds to a winning group, a new reel slides in on the right and spins. The same happens when the last reel adds nothing but shows a scarab scatter. The chain continues until a new reel contributes nothing, and only then is the win paid, multiplied by x1 plus one for every reel that was added. Wilds land on every reel except the first.
Eleven reels of wings: 432.00
My seventh spin showed what the format can do. Pink wings filled the first reels, and each new reel brought more wings or a wild that kept the group going. The multiplier box ran from x1 through x3, x4 and x5 up to x9, and the counter in the corner stopped at 20 wings.
Wings are worth 4 points each, so 20 of them make 80 points. At my bet, size 0.30 at level 2 on the fixed base bet of 10, a point was 0.60: 48.00 before the multiplier, and nine times that is 432.00, 72 stakes from a single spin.
Other base-game wins followed the same arithmetic on a smaller scale. Spin 69 grouped eleven Q symbols over seven reels, 22 points at x5, for 66.00; spin 64 found eight aces at x4 for 38.40.
Cleopatra at 5 points, the 9 at 1
Values are per symbol in the winning group, not per line or way. A spin costs 10 points, so a symbol worth 5 returns half a stake for every copy in the group:
| Symbol | Points per symbol | Group of 10 vs stake, before multiplier |
|---|---|---|
| Cleopatra | 5 | 5x |
| Winged ornament | 4 | 4x |
| Eye of Horus, ankh | 3 | 3x |
| A, K, Q | 2 | 2x |
| J, 10, 9 | 1 | 1x |
The minimum group of five card symbols pays between half a stake and a whole one before any multiplier. The money is in long chains: they add symbols and multiplier at the same time.
Free spins and the gamble wheel
Three scatters give 10 free spins and each extra scarab adds 2. Before the round starts, a wheel offers a choice: start with +1 to the multiplier for every new reel, or spin the wheel to raise the step to +2, then +3 and +4. The wheel is half green, half dark; landing on green raises the step, landing on dark ends the feature with nothing. Reaching +4 starts the round automatically.
The important difference from the base game is that the multiplier starts at x1 when the feature begins and is never reset between free spins, so every reel added anywhere in the round keeps counting.
My round came on spin 65 and I did not gamble. Even at +1 per reel the multiplier kept climbing. It stood at x2 after three free spins, then the fourth ran a long chain from x2 to x11 and paid 118.80. The seventh took it from x12 to x15 for 99.00, and the last free spin ended at x18. The ten spins totalled 282.60, 47 stakes.
PG Soft used the same Infinity Reels engine a year later for Buffalo Win: three reels to start, +1 per added reel and a multiplier that runs through the whole free spins round. It drops the gamble wheel and adds large stacked symbols that split, into wilds during the feature.
Rare chains, long reach
Most spins of Secrets of Cleopatra end on three reels with no group of five, and 87 of my 100 paid nothing. When a chain does get going, though, symbols and multiplier grow together, and one spin of wings outscored the whole free spins round. The gamble before the feature is the game's other lever; I took the safe +1 and still saw the multiplier reach x18.
