Reading the 225.00 win
The win sits on line 3, the bottom row: a captain on reel one, a captain on reel two and the chest wild on reel three, standing in for a third captain. The captain pays 50 for three of a kind, and a line win is the paytable value times bet size and bet level, so 50 x 0.90 x 5 = 225.00. That is 2.5x the stake, paid at x1 because it came on the first round of the spin.
What happens next is the point of the game. After every paid round the winning symbols explode, the symbols above fall into the gaps, and new ones drop from the top. If the new board makes another win, it is paid at x2, and the wheel keeps turning for as long as the wins keep coming.

Treat the 30,000x as a cap rather than a target. The line win in my screenshots was 2.5x and the finished chain 1.35x, which is what a medium game with a 39.1% hit frequency looks like most of the time.
