Emoji Riches Demo

Emoji Riches plays like a chat window: fake usernames scroll comments across the screen while emoji fill a six-by-six grid. PG Soft's backstory has a broke freelance designer, Locke, entering a sticker contest whose winner gets a million in venture capital, and his stickers are the symbols. Released in November 2021, the game pays for clusters of five or more and keeps a winning cluster on the board while everything around it spins again. I gave it 100 demo spins at 6.00: 30 of them won, and I finished 41.40 up.

Clusters that stick until they stop growing

A win needs five or more matching emoji touching horizontally or vertically. What happens next is the opposite of a normal cascade. The winning symbols stay, and every symbol that is not part of a win explodes and is replaced. If the new symbols add to a cluster or form another one, the board respins again. Only when a round adds nothing is the spin paid, once, for the size each cluster reached.

Emoji Riches 6x6 sticker grid board

Wilds are red envelopes, scatters are gift boxes, and both stay on the grid until the spin ends. The emoji themselves split into two groups: four faces that pay well (heart eyes, sunglasses, the grin and a side-eyeing shiba dog) and four objects that pay less (a bomb, a beer mug, a cleaver and a pile of poo).

Twenty-two piles of poo: 78.00

My best spin outside the free spins was the 45th. Five poo emoji opened a cluster in the lower left, and the respins kept adding to it.

Emoji Riches poo cluster sticks and grows

By the end the cluster covered 22 squares, with a wild envelope among them. A group of 22 poo is listed at 65 points. My 6.00 bet (size 0.30, level 2, base bet 10) made each point 0.60, so the cluster was worth 39.00. The wild made it x2, and the spin paid 78.00, thirteen stakes.

Emoji Riches 22 symbol cluster x2 78

Spin 94 came close with 72.00 from beer mugs at x2, and spin 62 had three wilds on the board for x6 and 61.20. Without a wild, even long clusters stayed small; a group of ten bombs, for example, is worth 10 points.

The wild multiplier

Every wild on the grid adds to the multiplier before the spin is paid. In my session one wild meant x2, two meant x4 and three x6, and the banner under the grid announces it as "each envelope awards x2". Since wilds also stick, a spin that keeps respinning has more chances to pick one up. Wings of Iguazu uses the same arithmetic with its blue macaws, but on a ten-line board.

Group sizes and what they pay

The paytable lists a value for every cluster size from 5 to 36. The table below picks a few sizes; one spin costs 10 points, so a value of 10 equals the stake:

Cluster sizeHeart eyesSunglassesGrin, dogBomb, beerCleaver, poo
586532
10301814108
15807060 / 504530

25600200200180150
36 (full grid)4,0002,5001,2001,000800

The values climb slowly up to about twenty symbols and then sharply. A full grid of heart eyes is worth 4,000 points, 400 stakes before any wild.

Free spins with a multiplier that keeps adding up

The gift boxes are scatters: three of them open 10 free spins, every box beyond three is worth 2 more, and further boxes during the round extend it. The rule for wilds is the same as in the base game, but in my round the multiplier did not return to x1 between free spins. It read x2 after the first wild, x4 a spin later, and jumped to x12 on a spin with four new envelopes.

Emoji Riches free spin x12 64.80 win

That spin paid only 5.40 before the multiplier and 64.80 after it. With four spins left the counter reached x18 and a small cluster paid 43.20; the last three free spins paid nothing, and the Total Win screen read 144.00, 24 stakes.

Emoji Riches FAQ

What is Sticky Match-5 in Emoji Riches?
When five or more matching emoji touch, they stay on the grid and every other symbol respins. This repeats while the clusters grow, and the spin is paid once at the end for the final cluster sizes.
How does the wild multiplier work?
Each red envelope wild on the grid adds x2 before the win is paid: one gives x2, two give x4, three give x6. Wilds stay on the grid for the rest of the spin.
How do the free spins start?
With three gift-box scatters, for 10 free spins; each extra box adds 2, and the round can be retriggered.
Which emoji pays the most?
The heart-eyes face: 8 points for a cluster of five, 160 for twenty and 4,000 for a full grid of 36.

Small clusters, rare big ones

Emoji Riches works best when one cluster keeps growing and a wild or two sits inside it. Most of my 30 wins were small clusters worth a coin or two. The game's real range sits above twenty symbols of one emoji, which my session never reached; the best result, 78.00, came from a 22-symbol group of the cheapest emoji, doubled by a single wild.
