One line of three lanterns paid 45.00 in my Fortune Dragon session, and a second later the screen said Big Win: 225.00. The difference was a disco ball under the reels showing x5. That ball is the whole idea of the game. Fortune Dragon is PG Soft's slot for the Year of the Dragon, released in January 2024: a plain 3x3 board with five lines, plus a separate multiplier reel that spins with every bet and can multiply the whole result by x2, x5 or x10. I played the demo below at 22.50 a spin.
Same game, real money
Cafe Casino runs the same Fortune Dragon with the same math and adds a welcome bonus for players from the United States:
300% up to $2,000 + 150 FS 18+ · T&Cs apply · the demo stays freeFrom 45.00 to 225.00: the multiplier reel
My stake was 0.90 x 5 x 5 = 22.50, so every paytable point was worth 0.90 x 5 = 4.50. Three lanterns on the middle row, line 1, pay 10 points, which is 45.00 and exactly twice the stake.
The multiplier reel under the board stopped on x5. The rules say that when it shows a multiplier, all wins in that spin are multiplied before they are paid, so 45.00 x 5 = 225.00, ten times the stake:
The reel turns on every spin and lands on blank, x2, x5 or x10. A blank means the line wins are paid as they are; a multiplier with no line win pays nothing. So the reel never creates a win on its own, it only scales one.
This is the main difference from Fortune Ox and Fortune Tiger, where x10 only arrives when one symbol fills the whole screen. Here a single line can be multiplied, which makes small wins far more likely to become meaningful ones.
Five lines on a 3x3 board
The board is three reels of three symbols with five fixed lines: the three rows plus the two diagonals. Wins pay from the leftmost reel, only the best win on each line counts, and the dragon wild substitutes for every symbol.
The opening screen shows a full reel of wilds in the middle and x2 on the multiplier reel, yet it pays nothing: no line has matching symbols on reels one and three. With only three reels, the middle wild needs a pair on the outside to be useful.
Line 1 is the middle row, line 2 the top, line 3 the bottom, and lines 4 and 5 are the diagonals. The rules also set a hard stop: if the total win in the main game or in the feature reaches 2,500x the stake, the spin ends.
Fortune Spins: two or three multipliers at once
On any spin, the Fortune Dragon Feature can start at random while the reels turn. It awards 8 Fortune Spins, and during them the multiplier reel expands to show two or three multipliers on every spin instead of one.
The rules illustration pairs x2, x5 and x10 with a line of two knots and a wild. The screens do not spell out whether several multipliers are added or multiplied together, so I will not put a number on that example. What is certain is that every Fortune Spin carries at least two multipliers, which is why the 2,500x cap belongs to this feature.
What a full screen is worth
Fortune Dragon has no separate bonus for a full screen. When one symbol covers all nine positions, every one of the five lines pays, and a spin costs five times bet size and level, so the full-screen value against the stake equals the symbol's line pay:
| Symbol | 3 on a line | One line vs stake | Full screen vs stake |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dragon (wild) | 100 | 20x | 100x |
| Gold ingots | 50 | 10x | 50x |
| Red envelope | 25 | 5x | 25x |
| Lantern | 10 | 2x | 10x |
| Firecracker | 5 | 1x | 5x |
| Lucky knot | 3 | 0.6x | 3x |
| Coins | 2 | 0.4x | 2x |
A screen of wilds is therefore 100x, and the base game's best multiplier, x10, takes it to 1,000x. Reaching 2,500x needs the combined power of a Fortune Spin's multipliers. That is a different route to the top from Fortune Tiger, which has the same 2,500x cap but gets its x10 from a full screen.
The paytable on screen
The in-game paytable lists the same seven symbols, with the dragon wild at the top. A line win is the value multiplied by bet size and bet level.
Two symbols, the knot and the coins, pay less than the stake on a single line, and the firecracker returns exactly the stake. Without the multiplier reel those lines would barely register; with x10 behind them, even three coins pay 4x.
Fortune Dragon by the numbers
PG Soft's game page lists a 96.74% RTP and a 2,500x maximum win, and the studio announced the game on 22 January 2024, ahead of the Lunar New Year. It does not publish a volatility rating, so I leave it out. The game page also mentions a Sure Win Bet that guarantees a win on every spin outside Fortune Spins; it is not described in the demo's rules, so whether a casino offers it, and at what price, is something to check there:
| Feature | Specification |
|---|---|
| Provider | PG Soft |
| Released | January 2024, Year of the Dragon |
| Reels / rows | 3 x 3 |
| Lines | 5 fixed: three rows and two diagonals |
| Multiplier reel | Blank, x2, x5 or x10 on every spin, applied to all wins |
| Fortune Dragon Feature | Random; 8 Fortune Spins with 2 or 3 multipliers per spin |
| RTP | 96.74% |
| Max win | 2,500x; the spin ends when it is reached |
| Bet in the demo | 0.15 to 45 per spin |
Bet: 0.15 to 45 in the demo
The demo opens at 3.00. The Bet Options panel multiplies a bet size, a bet level from 1 to 10 and a base bet of 5, one coin per line; my session ran at 0.90 x 5 x 5 = 22.50.
Bet sizes run from 0.03 to 0.90, so a spin costs from 0.15 (0.03 x 1 x 5) to 45.00 (0.90 x 10 x 5). Real-money limits depend on the casino and the currency, as with every game in this PG Soft demo catalogue.

Verdict
Fortune Dragon is the friendliest of PG Soft's Fortune games to small wins. The board is tiny and the paytable modest, but the multiplier reel can turn any line into something worth having, as my 45.00 becoming 225.00 showed. The 8 Fortune Spins are where the 2,500x cap lives, and they arrive at random rather than through scatters. Watch the disco ball in the demo for a while; once you see how often it lands blank, you will have a fair idea of what the dragon really pays.
